Weekend with the Horses

Hi!

This past weekend Emmy and I were at a horse boarding facility doing agility in their indoor arena. Mom was afraid we'd be sniffing the poopies in the ring but they keep it very clean and we didn't have any problems with that. We actually liked it and will probably come back!

This is the arena from the outside --

We met the CUTEST little Boston Terrier girl -- I forgot her name but she ran great and I couldn't resist her!

This is the scene where people would wait for their turn in the Standard ring. That Lab looks like he's ready to go!

So I did my Standard run and now I have to pose before I get my treats????

Mmmf, mmmm, munch, munch...

Our buddy Coll the Scottish Deerhound was there, too. He was a busier boy than us that weekend -- dog showing the day before, or was it obedience?

I heard one of my grandpups was at the dog show up in MD where Coll was... wonder which one of my 'kids' had children??

Anyway, here's a video of my Beagle buddy Shelly and her mom running the 16" Jumpers course Mom and I qualified on (shhh--- we ran faster!!). Too bad Mom didn't get someone to video us running.

Our Scottie buddy and fellow Earthdogger ran the same course, shorter and slower than that but he sure was cute doing it!

And this is our booty from the weekend. I qualified in Excellent Jumpers B for the very first time and got sixth place (woohooooo!) and Emmy got first in her Open Jumpers class. I got a Bark Bar and Emmy got her a pink cellphone stuffie. I would've gotten more goodies but Mom kept messing up one time in each of our Sunday runs. I ran really fast anyway. I was haulin'!
Mom was VERY happy with how I did. Got all my weave entries too which was wonderful.

Next weekend I have off so I can rest up!
Later --
Rudy

Congrats to you & Emmy! Loverly wins! I enjoyed watching the two dogs running but I gotta say. those hurdles were really set LOW for the Scottie! I've never seen hurdles set so low before, not here in mah country for small breeds. But I'd love to have my hurdles set low too sot hat it's sooo much easier for me! Whee!

Hey Rudy- I see you are still hard at work- good job! And I heard that you are going to visit Miz Mary this weekend- you lucky dog! Give her snuggle for me.

And also heard that your mom's birthday is coming up soon. What did you get for her? Happy Birthday, Deni!

Ya know Rudy...We have the worst time with yer blog cause sometimes we click on it and there is nothin' there but the header and sidebar...'n that's what happened again today... but now we can see it and leave a comment.

We saw Mary Rice at the last earthdog meetin' and the people who own the earthdog club property had their motorhome there and had internet service and showed MAry the video ya posted of her and her Scottie goin' thru the trials..Mary loved the video....

Since Mom got 'er Junior Earthdog title, Gram tried 'er in the Senior tunnels...'n they're gonna be tough....she didn't want ta go in at all 'n then she came inta the false deadend turn.....we have lots of work ta do....any suggestions on how ta get 'er ta go thru......me, I'm still not even doin' Junior well....don't know what happened....'n after we had those rats fer so long 'n they drove us nuts. How could I go from really good at it ta not even wantin' ta go in at all. Cookie said Gram needs ta work on her body language......so we will....Have a great time at agility.....
